Planning, starting and maintaining Enterprise Architecture is complex and time consuming. As an architect you are faced with many problems to solve and decisions to make. Now, what if there was a solution that could give your standards-driven project a kick-start and provide a structured way of maintaining your work? Luckily, there is. BEASI (Biner Enterprise Architecture Standard Integration) is a software plugin for the cost-efficient modeling tool Sparx Enterprise Architect. Keep reading and discover how BEASI makes your job easier and your projects more profitable.

Editor's Notes
The first part is to understand what we should do and create the architecture for it
The first part is to understand what we should do and create the architecture for it
In Phase B, C and D the vision is further defined by defining the business, data, application and technology target state. By analyzing the corresponding current state (the baseline) the gaps that represent the necessary changes required to reach target state are identified
Moving into the planning phases E and F the identified gaps are gathered, consolidated and analyzed. Dependencies and synergies among the gaps are identified.
The analysis of the gaps makes it possible to understand how the solutions closing the gaps can be delivered and thereby identifying the required work packages which normally represents the candidate projects in the change initiative
Understanding the dependencies between the gaps also makes it possible to understand how the solutions closing the gaps needs to coordinated and thereby identifying the appropriate transition architecture, that is required states that are required to ensure the delivery of the change in a reliable manner.
Once the transition states and the work packages are known it is possible to create a roadmap for the change outlining the structure of the change initiate to be started.
