2. As founder, president, and CEO of $7 million
hospitality company Purohit Holdings, Jugal
Purohit makes sure to contribute a portion of
his business’ profits to charity every year.
Under his guidance, the company has been
particularly active in supporting efforts to
improve the lives of people with little income in
India.
3. For instance, Purohit Holdings and several
members of its board have taken an active role
in the Jai Narayan Vyas Mahila (P.G.)
Mahavidhyalaya College in Jodhpur. The
school, one of only two colleges for women in
India’s state of Rajasthan, caters especially to
the underprivileged. Purohit Holdings and its
board have also founded a nonprofit diagnostic
health center in Rajasthan that provides free
care to the underserved.
4. Outside of those major initiatives, Purohit
Holdings contributes to several smaller efforts.
It has organized a biweekly food bank for
patients with leprosy, donates clothing and
blankets to the homeless every year, and funds
scholarships for students to go to private high
school, law school, and college.
