- 1. All Information about Zambia’s There are various South African countries about which the entire world knows nothing about as there is hardly any talk about it. Even if there is it is almost for all negative reasons and that is why they are economically not so developed and are lagging behind in development. It is all about presence and connections and if a country has to evolve out of its current situation it has to connect with various countries and reach out for help and see what can be best done to make things and people’s lives better. Zambia or The Republic of Zambia is a country situated in Southern Africa and is encircled by Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Lusaka is the capital of Zambia and majority of the population is concentrated around the capital city and the copper producing belt in the country. Zambia saw independence in 1964 from the hands of United Kingdom and since then has seen a lot change. The country is rich in mineral resources and thus there are lot of copper mines in the country. The country's economy is majorly governed by Copper production however recently the government is trying alternate channels of employment through agriculture as well as tourism. As per the recent statistics a majority of 68% of the Zambian population still live below the national poverty line and this is something which is alarming. There is a lot of help from various international foundations and other countries who are trying to pull the living standards as well as working on the economic development of Zambia. In recent few years Zambia has created a lot of visibility on International map unlike earlier when a majority of the people in world had never even heard about them. Any country which needs to upscale its people as well as its economy has to create its visibility on international forums so that they get noticed. Now, media and other agencies have been very active and are doing a lot of tie-ups with various international forums to bring a lot of positive change in the lives of Zambians. But, this is not possible without the people themselves as they have to bring the change and work a lot harder to achieve this. This change is bringing results and efforts are bearing fruits as people of other countries wish to see everyone in the world leading a good and healthy life. So, now whether it is health issues or education or other needs within Zambia when the outside world gets to know through different mediums and Zambia news they are eager to come forward and offer a hand to get the issues addressed and take things forward.
