1. All Talk Marketing Plan
Introduction:
All Talk is a short film based on a group of teenage boys at a 6th form and one of
them get a bet to see if he can get a girlfriend by the end of the day. The project is to create
a short film made for and by teenagers. I would like the short film to be distributed through
a medium to large distributed TV station such as BBC three as they all ready short films such
as โAngry Kidโ. So I would like them to help me distribute my short film to a wider audience.
I feel they should give me this change as there are not too many short films similar to this. It
entertaining and can be watched again and again.
Strengths/Past Successes:
All of the main actors and actresses have been in major TV productions such as Jamie
Nuttal who has been in Eastenders, Ryan Heaphy who plays a part in The Inbetweeners, Ben
Brason who does a lot of action films, the girls in the short film and normally extras so we
got them on a low budget. So this we a good project to bring lots of big named great actors
together. We can see this genre will be popular as it on the back of the popularity of other
longer episode comedy such as Inbetweeners and peep show.
Your Audience:
My audience is based at a youth audience aged between 15 to 19 as this what age
the characters are in the short film. So it is easier for the target audience to relate to. Also
they story is set in a 6th form so people round this age can relate to this as well. The type of
comedy I have used it the short film I feel the type of comedy and humour people of this
age group enjoy such as immature jokes and rude words so this what I have used. It is aimed
for both male and female but it may be slightly more pushed to males because the three
main characters are male. This age range also watches a fair about of television so this
would help the short film become even more popular.
Life Style Marketing:
I have showed what type of life style the characters have by the way they dress and
how they talk. For example to show they are working class they are wearing casual clothes
such as hoodies and sports t shirts as a lot of 6th formers do. I had the geeky character a
waistcoat to show he tryโs to look smart but doesnโt really pull it off. The cocky character
Gary when he sits down he lounges on the chair to show he just likes to relax and take life
easy.
2. Graphics and Branding:
On the right is the logo for the short film
โAll Talkโ. We choose to use a simple font
as it is just a simple straight forward
comedy, so we used Arial. The colour we
used is a creamy blue as the main
characters are boys so it relates to then also
there in a light blue outline to connotes it is
a light hearted comedy and to help the text
stand out.
