by which an individual leads others
that is based on the leader’s individual identity
that includes the leader’s
ways of living – beliefs – habits – behaviors
attitudes – values – and – worldview
The leader must project that identity
In ways that “inspire”-“breathe life into” people
in ways that make sense to others and self
in a given time and place.

Actually,
Who are you not to be?

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
it's in everyone.
As we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

on leadership based on those 5 Ls.

It involves our head
our heart our sense of caring
our sense of passion
As a lifestyle,
leadership consists of life giving actions
to affect (influence) people who get things done.

21. A distinction between INSPIRATION and MOTIVATION - - Why?
“MOTIVATION”
“the driving force by which people achieve their goals”
That sounds good,
BUT is motivation really the driving force?
OR, is motivation caused by a force that causes us to act?
“INSPIRATION”
“to breathe life into”
If a speaker can “breathe life into me”,
then I can be motivated to choose
what I need to do to get something done.
If I am not inspired,
then I might not choose to do the right things to get the right results.
If I am inspired,
then I am hit in the heart
(what I care about, what I am passionate about),
Thus,
I am motivated to get the right things done.

22. Why is LIFESTYLE different than UTILIZING METHODS?
METHOD
We get training
to learn methods for getting something accomplished.
It involves head knowledge
It may not involve the heart
METHOD
I can follow the steps taught,
I may not care while going through the motions
METHOD
I know steps that need to be taken to get the job done
I might not be inspired to do anything
METHOD
My head is in it
My heart may not be

if a leader is dysfunctional in aspects of lifestyle,
the dysfunction can be indirectly or directly translated to followers.
We recognize that no one is perfect.
We all have areas of our lifestyles that need improvement.
leaders must be life long learners
continually strive to become better Lifestyle Leaders
Because
leaders affect many followers
leaders affect others with whom the followers are connected
leaders can affect everything we do
in business, at home, in neighborhoods, and anywhere else.
Because
As the saying goes, “The leader sets the tone…..”.
Leaders must set tones for success, not mediocrity or failure.
