James Bailey has served the Uinta County School District #1 in Evanston, Wyoming, as superintendent since 2005. In 2009, he expanded his professional duties throughout Evanston by taking on the position of co-superintendent of schools. In this role he oversees nearly 3,000 students, 565 employees, and 17 administrative organizations at eight Wyoming schools. James Bailey is further tasked with managing the district’s $59 million budget. Between 2009 and 2010, he reduced the district’s operating budget by more than $1 million while adding over $1.5 million to the board reserve.
