This document provides biographical information on three Czech composers: Bedřich Smetana, who was born in Litomyšl and whose most popular works were the opera Braniboři v Čechách and symphonic poem Má Vlast, and who played the piano and violin. Leoš Janáček was born in Hukvaldy and his most popular opera was Liška Bystrouška, and he played the organ. Antonín Dvořák was born in Nelahozeves and his most popular song was Humoreska and opera Rusalka, and he played the violin and organ.
