2. Migrate is Culture
This project has been produced and co-ordinated by the Museo de América with the
collaboration of its Friends Association (ADAMA) and with funds of the Spanish
Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.

 National State Museum dependent on the Ministry of Education, Culture and
Sports
 Created in 1941
 The Museum’s collection is composed of more than 25.000 objects, pre-
Columbian, ethnographic and colonial, from Alaska to
Tierra de Fuego.
 It shows the evolution of the different American cultures
through more than 12.000 years of History.

4. What is Migrate is Culture?
 It is a collaborative and
multidisciplinary project which started
in 2012 and shows the diversity and
cultural enrichment that migration
produces in all societies.
 It includes past and present, and all the
aspects of culture.
 Participants can upload to the web their
videos, pictures and stories about their
migratory experience.
 More than 2100 stories
