3. Preliminary Task :
From the preliminary task I had very little knowledge about
Photoshop, I had little experience with the software and
therefore struggled to understand how to put in place
techniques such us typography and edited images. However I
struggled to be aware of the forms and conventions of a
magazine in general.
However I believe for a first attempt without any research
before hand that this magazine isn't that bad. I feel that it has
a interesting feel to it and does appear to have some forms of a
magazine. It was good experience to produce a product. And to
begin to expand my skills on the program.
I realise that this product could be easily improved, especially
now after evaluating it against my main product.
4. Evaluation :
When it came to creating my main product we had a lot longer to research
forms and conventions of a music magazine. We was also given the chance to
spend more time planning and researching allowing us to automatically
create a better product.
Also due to my experimentation before on Photoshop I went into creating the
product with developed skills and more knowledge based around the tools on
Photoshop.
In conclusion I believe the research build up and the preliminary task helped
me to create a much better magazine for the main product, this was due to
the professional appearance I could now create and the content being
relevant and important.
The research of other forms and conventions of music magazines helped me
the most to build my final product.
