The past 4 years the Heisman Trophy winner was a player that was not even considered before the start of the season. Cam Newton, RGIII, Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston were all under the radar before the start of their respective seasons. The odds may favor Jameis Winston this year but that would be a suckers bet. Each year a new star emerges to capture the nations attention and woo the Heisman voters. Handicapping Police has put together an infographic of 4 underdogs that have the potential of making some bettors big money with long odds.

Coker transfered to Alabama
from FS U. Coker sat behind
2013 Heisman winner Jameis
Winston. S aban may have
been handed a gift with
Coker and he could turn into
one of the top QB's in the
country, Coker lands at a
football powerhouse and will
be tutored by a football
coaching legend. The ball is
in Cokers court.
After a year suspension,
Golson is back at ND. In his
FR year he helped lead the
Irish to the National
Championship. He now is
older and more mature from
learning from his mistakes
and watching from the
sidelines. Don't be surprised
to Golson lead the Irish to
another successful season
and Heisman consideration.

2. Taylor Kelly had a solid JR
year and the AS U offense will
put up a lot of points. It may
be tough for some people to
pass up this bet at 50-1 odds.
Melvin Gordon may have the
best shot of all the underdog
Heisman candidates. Gordon
rushed for over 1,600 yards
last year and with a little luck
and good health he could
rush for over 2,000 in 2014.
Gordon seems to be good
value when betting
underdogs.

Jameis Winston is NOT a
LockThe past 4 Heisman winners were
not even a thought at the start of the
season. Each year we are enamored
by a fresh face and this is what
makes NCAAF so great. Expect the
2014 Heisman winner to be a star
that has yet been determined.
Eye spy a QB will win. S ince 2000
only 2 running backs have won
(Reggie Bush and Mark Ingrim).
It's safe to assume another QB
will win this year since the ball is
in their hands more often than
any other player.
Jameis Winston is a suckers bet at 3-
1 odds (+325). Only Archie Griffin has
won back-to-back Heismans which
means the odds are not favoring
Winston. He will once again put up
big numbers but playing 2 sports is
tough enough and FS U has a
tougher schedule in 2014. Two
sports = less practice time on the
football field.
