2. With this film poster; you have the
child with her eyes made completely
white, this makes her seem unnatural
and gives a slight demonic feel to the
poster.
With the character behind you have a
strong emphasis on the eyes (which
contrasts against the little girl) that
stand out against his skin; but what
seems more sinister is that his skin is
being formed in bees ( bottom right
hand corner) that help to give an
indication that there is something
wrong, and maybe hints that there is
a colony of people that are going to
work together (like bees) to
accomplish their task.

3. In this film poster it is obvious to tell
that the genre is based on horror; as
you have the none human creature
coming forth out of the shadows,
with it contrasting against its skin
tone.
It makes the creature seem other
world like due to the eyes of the
creature: they seem to not to see you
as they are too big and round, plus
there seems to be more holes in her
(?) head which could be sent glands
which makes her seem more
predator like, it makes me feel
uncomfortable seeing them as its
very unnatural.

4. With the usage of the blue in the setting;
it seems to have more of a old time feel, it
almost looks like one of the old fashioned
style posters that I created.
What is spooky is the child that’s its
reflection is seen in the mirror; what
works really well is the pale skin and the
dark rings around his eyes, which shows
that he is not natural/ demonic, as he is
contrasted against the woman in the
foreground.
By her looking in the mirror we then know
that mirrors will play an important role in
seeing the creature ( and that maybe it
will use her as a doorway into our world)
and that she will play an important role in
the creatures plan/ desire to get what it
wants.

5. With the child in the shadows; this
shows that the child is the main focus
of the story, and with the house set
behind shows that this could be an
ordinary family.
As the eyes are more defined then
the rest of the body we are then
drawn to them; it is only then you can
see that they are both different ( the
left one has a white line through
them) could this signify that there is
something wrong with the boy’s soul:
than if it is, then it links to demonic
possession or haunting, which would
link into our film trailer and poster.

6. This is a very high contrast
image; that seems to have a
slight religious touch to it,
with the ‘cross’ in the middle
of the page this allows for the
two character images to be
separated.
As they seem to blend into
the shadows, this is very
typical of a thriller/ horror
genre, as it focuses on the
darkness and the shadows
which are more sinister.

7. This is using the idea that the eyes are the
window to the should; this is being
reflected in the using of the mirror as its
shattered, showing that some violence
has incurred, this could be showing a
death.
By the faces seen in the mirror we know
that at least one of them will be the
victim; as it has a cop like feel ( with the
dark blue) and by the profiling of the face
shape of the mirror.
If you look above the title you can faintly
see a figure of an old man; this would ask
the audience to consider this man a
threat, as he is obscured from our
peripheral view, and shows that this man
is a shady figure, or has a yet undefined
role.

8. This is a very grainy
image; that seems to
look like an old
photograph, this idea
could be used to inspire
some of my own work (
on my film poster) as the
different era look, seems
very spooky and would
link to the two different
times that our curse
happened.

9. With this character you have a
figure sitting in the seat imitating
the stone figure of Abraham
Lincoln; this would follow with
the title; but as his face is covered
and there is a full moon in the
background, it gives a more
supernatural feel to the poster.
It also indicates that there is
something that we do not know
about this character, that is a
strong basis for what they do in
their day to day life.
