 BreastSurgANZ, also known as Breast
Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand Inc.,
is a group of surgeons who treat benign and
malignant breast diseases throughout
Australia and New Zealand. BreastSurgANZ
members provide patient-centered care and
strive to improve this care through evidence-
based strategies, research, and teaching work.
Additionally, the organization utilizes a quality
audit to monitor members and ensure strong
and consistent patient outcomes.

4. Introduction
 Member surgeons are responsible for more
than 14,000 breast cancer patients across
New Zealand and Australia. They also work in
fields such as curriculum development and
breast surgeon training. All members of
BreastSurgANZ are Fellows of the Royal
Australasian College of Surgeons.
