Is it worth buying an ECHO brand string trimmer?
i have a homelite curved shaft weed eater(string trimmer) but i want a straight shaft and was wandering about these
expensive $200+ ECHO brand trimmers. I cut grass at home and have 2 grass cutting jobs. Is an ECHO worth it or is
a Homelite, Ryobi, etc. just as good?

Its worth spending a bit extra, I run a garden care business and so I use the heavy duty gear, Husqvarna is my
brand of choice but sthill, oleo mac and echo are good too.
My husqvarna weed eater, brand new costs $1400, and after using a cheap ryobi the other week whist mine was
being serviced I remembered why I had spent the extra cash.
My old man brought a Sparta for $420 which is pretty good, its made by oleo mac, Its not powerful enough for me
but if you only have the 2 lawns it’ll do.
But my best advice to you is if your planning on taking on more work buy something grunty it’ll pay itself off faster
than you think, and most importantly buy new! People are slack and don’t maintain gear and it often gets one hell
     of a hiding!

     Hope that helps
     Best of luck

Only one blase usually moves. Have you tried oiling the blades. That could be the problem.

 4 stroke string trimmers?
I’m looking into buying a new string trimmer and checking into a troy-bilt one (four-stroke) that is setup for
attachments. I will be using it for around the house and some light commercial ( I plan on mowing about a dozen
yards on the weekends for extra cash) Does anyone own this trimmer that has really put it to work? Will it hold up to
light commercial or do I need to go get a stihl or echo? I recall seeing two different models of the troy-bilt at lowes,
one with a cast alluminum shaft input that was more expensive…

 Please help!

Where is my stolen lawn equipment and Go Kart?
Last week me and my buddies lawn equipment was stole out of our shed in South West Michigan. The Items were
two echo lawn trimmers, a trailor, a exmark lazer, a go kart, snow mobile, and a handful of tools. If you know of any of
these items that someone just happened to come upon lately tell me or notify the police. I know this is a stab in the
dark, But who knows its the Internet

I have a Stihl that I’m not too happy with. It’s about three years old. I think I paid over $250 for it. It has always been
difficult to start, but runs fine after it warms-up. I know several other people with the same problem. The fuel line
(primer line, I think) leaks slightly. It has been in the shop three times (two different repair shops) over the past two
years to repair this and it still leaks and is still difficult to start.
I know two people who have Echo trimmers and they’re very happy with them.
     I don’t know about Cub Cadet trimmers…
Another brand that is highly rated by our local Park District crew is Shindiawa (sp?), but I try to avoid Asian brands.

ive owned mine for 3 years now and i havent had any problems with it. mine does not have the bump head
winding though. it has the kind where you insert two pieces of heavy gage line into each side. i prefer this style, it
cut weed with large stems without breaking as much.

I cut grass at home and have 2 grass cutting jobs. Is an ECHO worth it or is a Homelite, Ryobi, etc. just as good? Anonymous Reply February 25, 2012 at 11:09 am Its worth spending a bit extra, I run a garden care business and so I use the heavy duty gear, Husqvarna is my brand of choice but sthill, oleo mac and echo are good too. My husqvarna weed eater, brand new costs $1400, and after using a cheap ryobi the other week whist mine was being serviced I remembered why I had spent the extra cash. My old man brought a Sparta for $420 which is pretty good, its made by oleo mac, Its not powerful enough for me but if you only have the 2 lawns it’ll do. But my best advice to you is if your planning on taking on more work buy something grunty it’ll pay itself off faster than you think, and most importantly buy new! People are slack and don’t maintain gear and it often gets one hell of a hiding! Hope that helps Best of luck Anonymous Reply February 14, 2012 at 11:14 pm best gas trimmers? what is the best gas trimmer i have heard echo or stihl i need a comerical grade somewere around 300 to 400 dollars i wont a trimmer with power that will last laburg Reply February 14, 2012 at 11:22 pm gas hedge trimmers wont cut? the blades move but is not enough to cut. is it missing a screww or what could be the problem? its an echo. are both blades supposed to be moving? Matthew B Reply February 19, 2012 at 7:58 am Only one blase usually moves. Have you tried oiling the blades. That could be the problem. james_spader_jr Reply February 16, 2012 at 5:10 am 4 stroke string trimmers? I’m looking into buying a new string trimmer and checking into a troy-bilt one (four-stroke) that is setup for attachments. I will be using it for around the house and some light commercial ( I plan on mowing about a dozen yards on the weekends for extra cash) Does anyone own this trimmer that has really put it to work? Will it hold up to light commercial or do I need to go get a stihl or echo? I recall seeing two different models of the troy-bilt at lowes, one with a cast alluminum shaft input that was more expensive… Please help! kangaroorat1985 Reply February 18, 2012 at 11:39 pm Where is my stolen lawn equipment and Go Kart? Last week me and my buddies lawn equipment was stole out of our shed in South West Michigan. The Items were two echo lawn trimmers, a trailor, a exmark lazer, a go kart, snow mobile, and a handful of tools. If you know of any of these items that someone just happened to come upon lately tell me or notify the police. I know this is a stab in the dark, But who knows its the Internet yahoo Reply February 21, 2012 at 5:21 am Cub Cadet, Echo, or Stihl? Who of the three makes the best string trimmers. Cub Cadet, Echo, or Stihl? redleader Reply February 26, 2012 at 11:06 pm I have a Stihl that I’m not too happy with. It’s about three years old. I think I paid over $250 for it. It has always been difficult to start, but runs fine after it warms-up. I know several other people with the same problem. The fuel line (primer line, I think) leaks slightly. It has been in the shop three times (two different repair shops) over the past two years to repair this and it still leaks and is still difficult to start. I know two people who have Echo trimmers and they’re very happy with them. I don’t know about Cub Cadet trimmers… Another brand that is highly rated by our local Park District crew is Shindiawa (sp?), but I try to avoid Asian brands. David Reply February 21, 2012 at 7:19 am What is good about echo string trimmers? The on/off switch,i-30 starter what is that and the bump head winding , reliable? srm-210 hairyford2 Reply February 25, 2012 at 12:04 pm ive owned mine for 3 years now and i havent had any problems with it. mine does not have the bump head winding though. it has the kind where you insert two pieces of heavy gage line into each side. i prefer this style, it cut weed with large stems without breaking as much. lowgmasta Reply February 25, 2012 at 3:24 am what do you think of the echo 210 and 230 string trimmers Leave a Reply Name * Email* Website Post Comment (Ctrl + Enter) © Garden Lawnmower.
