This results in an abundance of different styles and compositions. Some buyers select gazebos that have an antique-like appearance. Many love the look of a piece of architecture that appears as if it was made centuries ago. Others buy more unique-looking gazebos that closely reflect modern architecture and construction. Many online gazebo shops, like http://www.gazebocreations.com allow customers to custom build and buy their own gazebos. Gazebo designs can be found online or at stores. The backyard of my house has a swimming pool on one half and the other half is all concrete and pavers. We are having our wedding reception in a month and would like to add a spot of shade since we are in South Florida and it is still extremely hot outside. We were thinking of getting a gazebo from Lowe’s, but they are rather expensive – any other ideas would be fantastic!!! Thanks in advance! uwfgurl0269 Reply February 19, 2012 at 11:56 pm (Edit) Hello We are in the process of putting up “Sails” They look like the sails off of a ship, but are made of different material. Here’s an example from a website that sells them. http://www.shadesails.com/ They come in almost any size and color, normally in a triangle (I’ve only seen a few squares) All you would need is a few tall posts and some thing to anchor it to, like your home or a tree. They do allow a little rain in but they block the sun very well. kahiriga Reply February 20, 2012 at 6:01 pm (Edit) Gazebo code #:Y Model S-582 D. Where can I order for a replacement canopy? They have them at big lots and Lowes for around $200- $300. They have netting to keep the bugs out and provide SHADE! Butare they sturdy? Just want to make sure I won’t have to disassemble every time the wind blows. Any feedback is helpful. Thanks! wolfatrest2000 Reply February 24, 2012 at 6:31 pm (Edit) Depends on what brand you get. I just put two of them together for a client and I wouldn’t trust them to stand up to a good strong wind. Even if they were anchored down I think they’d get torn apart by the wind if the canopy were on them. Without the canopy there is little wind resistance so they might stay together then. jim c Reply February 22, 2012 at 6:09 am (Edit)I bought a 8×8 canopy gazebo at lowes last year it needs a new canopy I can not find one any help please?I is made by Garden Treasures Living 8x8x9 geoffrey b Reply February 26, 2012 at 6:34 pm (Edit) I would take it back and get them to replace it. Surely it should be expected to last more than a year! duffey Reply February 24, 2012 at 2:55 am (Edit)Does anyone own a backyard gazebo/canopy that they really like?I’m looking for a good gazebo – not the old fashioned lattice kind, but rather the new variety that gives you a screened-in four-poster canopy area for the backyard.Do you have one that you like? Please describe it and PROVIDE A LINK for it (either where to buy it or where to get the plans to build it.)I’m trying to find one that’s fairly weather resistant (rain, wind, etc.) without breaking/tipping over/collecting too much water. I’m in a cold weather state. Sadly, most onlinereviews I’ve read have been negative about all the canopies at Lowes, Home Depot, Target, etc.Thank you! I don’t want to wait until next year to buy one. eskie lover Reply February 26, 2012 at 6:52 am (Edit) WalMart and Target both sell them too. They are the powder coated aluminum ones, but Target has a more unique and stylish selection. There is also 2 smaller ones at Big Lots, but I am not so certain of the construction quality. yrralgil Reply February 25, 2012 at 5:06 pm (Edit)i would like to buy netting for a 10×10 metal outdoor gazebo, where can i buy it?(netting only)?i have a metal pagoda gazebo, which i bought last year through the sportmans guide. it came with the screen then, but it was damaged while taking it down to be put awaybefore winter. i just need to know where i can buy just the screen itself. lowe’s has one, but they all -3- stores are out of stock and do not know when they will get them in.thank you larry…. I bought a gazebo for my deck to help protect against sun and bugs. I have the kid’s huge sandbox under it, an outdoor bar and 4 bar chairs. I would like to know how to decorate it simply, but elegantly. It has to be kid and wind friendly. I was thinking maybe lights and fake vines wrapped around the inside metal structure… Here is a pic of the gazebo: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=225175-19407-S-577-1&lpage=none *EDITED TO SAY* if you suggest creeping vines…can you tell me how long it takes for them to grow and how best to do it? Thanks! Lin s Reply February 29, 2012 at 8:55 pm (Edit) I definitely would use the tiny lights. For maintenance sake I would use silk plants. You would not believe how real they look. They even have cacti and succulents that look like the real thing and no watering.Leave a ReplyLogged in as Mr.Green. Log out? Post Comment (Ctrl + Enter)© Garden Lawnmower.
