In this B2B Commerce demo we are going to show you how Oracle Commerce can help you deliver dynamic experiences to your B2B buyers. Meet John – he is a buyer for a regional electronics distributor and is looking to order some new camera equipment and accessories.
Now – remember that John is doing buying products as part of his job and you want to make this as easy as possible on him to find what he is looking for, get the right prices, and easily complete the transaction.
John is looking for canon camera cables and other accessories. A regular consumer by day, John starts where he normally would with a Google search for “canon camera cables”. He see a company Discover Electronics at the top of the list and remembers that his company has an account with them.

This takes over what can be a very manual, expensive process if currently handled in IT.
Once on the home page John quickly heads to the search box to begin searching for the canon products he is looking for. He searches, navigates, reads related content and narrows his search down to a few select cameras and accessories but he doesn’t see any prices on the items.
As most users, John quickly heads to the search box to begin searching for the canon products he is looking for. He starts to type in canon and quickly see other options such as suggested products and related content to help him quickly find the information most relevant to what he is looking for.
Because John has searched for items on Canon he is taken to a canon branded landed page that was set up by a business user at Discover Electronics. This page has promotions on canon items, related products, recommendations, and relevant search results. Again – all powered by the business user at Discover Electronics. If John would have searched for Kodak his experience would have adapted.
He searches, navigates, reads related content and narrows his search down to a few select cameras and accessories he is interested in but he doesn’t see any prices on the items or add to cart.
John logs in to his account so he can start the purchase process
Upon log-in, John only sees products he is authorized to purchase along with their specific contract price. John also sees special promotions based on his profile settings and past order history.
John places all of the items in his cart and starts the checkout process. He realizes that his order is quiet large and would like to summit a quote request for a 5% discount. John is able to do this right from the check out screen and on the back end the information is sent to Discover Electronics merchandising team for approval.
John receives an alert that it was approved and can continue the check out process. John has the ability to split the order into multiple shipments, select multiple shipping address, as well different deliver methods for each shipment
John also has the ability to pay for each of the split orders with different methods: bill to PO, invoice, credit card. Once he chooses a payment method for each shipment he submits the order for approval.
After John hits submit his order goes to his manager for approval. His manager is traveling but luckily can access everything on her ipad. She is able to easily make any adjustment, approve, or reject.
