Why Monitor Your Reviews?
Reviews are social proof
Social proof
noun

A psychological phenomenon where people assume the
actions of others reflect correct behavior for a given
situation.

Formal analysis shows that Social Proof can cause people
to converge too quickly upon a single choice, so that
decisions of even large groups of individuals may be
grounded in very little information.

Search engines spread reviews

Try not to notice the 2 star review above.

Search engines are a major outlet for disseminating
reviews. Think every time someone Googles your
name.
Is having no reviews okay? (NO)
Many providers try to fly below the radar and
have no reviews. This can only hurt you.

Reviews are social credit. Just like regular
credit, you need a history.

Without a history, the effect of a single negative
review can take you all the way down to 1 star.
Review Report Card
Tells you which sites have bad
reviews for your name.

Use it find the sites where you
need to improve the most.

Monitor new reviews daily.

We check your reviews on dozens of websites
daily. It costs $0.82 cents a day and saves
you between 8 - 10 hours of research time
each month.
Say, you have a "C"

                      You can ask your
                      patients to write
                      more reviews on
                      this site.

                      More positive
                      reviews will boost
                      your grade.
How to ask for positive reviews

1) Signs in the office

2) Hand out flyers

3) Ask during appointments

4) Ask on your website

5) Ask with your appointment reminder software
How to ask for positive reviews

1) Signs in the office

Put signs in your office encouraging patients to 'like' you on
Facebook and write a review on sites like Yelp.

Seems like a no-brainer, but so many healthcare
professionals do not do this.

2) Hand out flyers

Hand each patient, on their way out of the office, a
document with information on how to become a Fan and
how to review the practice online. Make sure there are
thorough directions and links provided.

(Use our Patient Review Templates to get started.)

3) Ask during appointments

Ask patients, “Have I answered all your questions and
addressed all of your concerns?”

If the patient says, “yes” then perhaps say, “Great. Would
you mind taking 5 minutes to review me online? I have a
document with all the steps listed on how to do this. I would
really appreciate it.”
How to ask for positive reviews

4) Ask on your website

Have a Yelp icon right next to your Facebook, Twitter and
YouTube icons.

Write a blog article about reviews and how patients can
review you. Also, publish it in your newsletter.
How to ask for positive reviews

5) Ask with your appointment reminder software

Reminder software, like the popular Smile Reminder,
allows you to automatically send an email to patients.

After their appointment, send them a link to Yelp (or
whatever site needs improvement), and ask them to write a
review.

(Use our Patient Review Templates to get started.)
1. To summarize - reviews are like credit. You
need to establish a strong history.

2. Review Report Card is like a credit report. It
tells you which sites need better reviews.

3. Use Patient Review Templates to ask for
positive reviews on the sites where you need
   the most help.
