2. What’s this all about?
Watch this space as tomorrow’s skies could become pretty
crowded very soon, as the world’s first production-ready flying
car has been showcased by its Austrian inventors.
The race to deliver the world’s first flying car has officially
begun and surprisingly it is a small Slovakian start-up
company that is leading the way.

3. Flying car: up, up and away
The presentation of AeroMobil 3.0 took place at the Pioneers
Festival in the Austrian capital of Vienna, held at Hofburg
Palace.
Incredibly the first test dates of flying cars by the company
date back to the mid-90s.
The fully-operable prototype is the size of a minivan and is
powered by a 100-horsepower, four-cylinder Rotax engine.

4. How can a car fly?
The AeroMobil 3.0 transforms from a car into a plane which
allows it to take off into the sky. Wings that are located behind
the cockpit, where the rear seats in an ordinary car would be,
and they unfold on command.
To take off it requires 250 metres of runway and just 50 meters
of strip to land successfully.

5. Who will buy a flying car?
If you’re thinking this is the car for you, you’ll need to get a pilot
licence which is required to fly the car. It has all the safety
features present in airborne vehicles including autopilot and a
parachute deployment system.
The company have highlighted 3 possible target markets:
commuters travelling far to work, business works who travel
abroad for work frequently and residents in nations with little
infrastructure for planes.
