How to Arm Yourself
1. How to Arm Yourself A guide on how to stay alive. By: Devin Propst 543-621 A.C.
2. Essentials A single warrior may carry a set of armor, shield, spear, sword, ax, sling and bow. By carrying all of these weapons you ensure your own survival, against the Frankish pig dogs.
3. Step One: Armor Armor is a lifesaver on the battlefield. With the ability to stop a sword cut if your lucky( but usually not ) this stuff is essential.
4. Step Two: Shield So you can stop a sword, how about an arrow? To save yourself from the devastating power of the bow you must carry a shield. Without one your as good as a human kebab.
5. Step Three: Spear You made it past their arrows, maybe even got close enough to fight them, now what? The spear is what. With an extended reach this weapon will let you kill them without them getting close enough to kill you. (coward)
6. Step Four: Sword Maybe you’re a little braver than most? Well for the brave it’s the sword. Getting up-close and personal is this weapons specialty. Use it to slip through chinks in enemy armor, and deal the killing blow.
7. Step Five: Ax So you don’t posses the finesse to wield a sword? The ax is your answer. With the crushing weight of a hammer and the cutting power of a sword, the ax will allow you to render the enemies' every defense useless.
8. Step Six: Sling The enemy outnumber you and the odds are against your head staying firmly attached to your body. How do you proceed? RUN AWAY!!! Lacking the common sense to comply with the first suggestion, the sling will definitely help to level the playing field. Just load, spin, and avoid making contact with your own face.
9. Step Seven: Bow Your stuck in a town. The enemy is making a sally and they will surely overwhelm you. How do you stop them? You shoot a 2 foot piece of wood, tipped with an iron barb, guided by goose feathers, traveling at 260 FPS. Your enemies' priorities will quickly change from killing you to finding a place to hide, when faced with this storm of feathery death.
10. Step Eight: Go and Fight Are you sure you want to be a warrior? You don’t think you might be safer as a priest or a friar? Fine, have it your own way, don’t say you weren’t warned. Your ready to fight now, you understand the function and use of weapons, so go get em.
