How to Troubleshoot Apps for the Modern Connected Worker
2011 SLA CID Professional Grant Winner
1. Dear Fellow CI Division Members,
I was so honored to attend SLA on behalf of our unit, & look forward to sharing those experiences in greater detail in my
forthcoming article for the post-conference issue of the Intelligence Insights newsletter.
For details about the conference in general -- check out the #SLA2011 tweets @ on twitter -- for DCI specific, try #SLACID... I
tweeted a great deal myself, and have posted what conference presentations I've run across so far to both those feeds via my
twitter.
To find others, I'm told you will need to sign into the conference planner & look session by session in their detail. I haven't drilled
down into the remaining ones I hope to locate, but that is one way to ID posted others I've not yet tweeted yet. Although to be
honest, I found the ones I noted using good old fashion search skills, not the planner... :-)
In any case, again -- your backing was [and is] much appreciated. SLA2011 exceeded my already high expectations!
Thanks & Best Regards,
Anna F. Shallenberger

-----Original Message----- Subject: [sla-dci] CI Division Professional Grant Award Winner: Anna F. Shallenberger
This year, the CI Division board approved its first ever professional grant award, in the form of a financial stipend of $1,500.
We are delighted to announce that the 2011 award recipient is Anna F. Shallenberger.
We were delighted as well by the level of interest in the award and by the quality of the individual applicants. We received
applications for the award from a number of impressive members of the CI Division who met the approved eligibility requirements.
The final decision regarding the award recipient was extremely difficult, as all of the applicants were very worthy of it.
Please join me and the CID board in congratulating Anna on receiving the 2011 CI Division Professional Grant Award. As a condition
of the award, she will be attending the SLA11 in Philadelphia, so you may have an opportunity to congratulate her in-person. The
award will be presented during the CI Division’s Open House event, scheduled for Monday, June 13 at 5:30pm.
Anna will be contributing an article regarding her conference experience for the Fall 2011 issue of the CI Division’s Intelligence
Insights newsletter and/or share her experience on the CID’s Linkedin group or blog. She will also be invited to serve on the CI
Division’s Awards Committee, as we consider other worthy applicants during future award processes.
The CI Division has a goal of expanding the awards program, so I hope many of you will consider applying for one of the awards
offered in the future.
Best regards,
Toni Wilson, Chair, SLA CI Division
