• State Cigarette tax increase of $1.00
• Tobacco vending machines are no longer permitted in
Chicago
• “Roll Your Own” cigarette tobacco machines will now be
taxed at the same rate as cigarettes

smoke-free campuses.
• Over 30 Chicago FQHCs have implemented the Ask,
Advise and Refer model providing over 104,000 patients
to be screened for tobacco use
