MARKET WRAP
Indian markets ended lower. Nifty, Sensex down by 0.17 % & 0.26%.
Wall Stret traded mixd. US Unemployment Claims 320K in last week.
Asia-Pacific markets down. Euro ZEW Economic Sentiment at 61.5.
Indian markets closed down. Global markets traded mixed after fed comments. The
Federal Reserve said after the conclusion of a monetary policy review that it will trim its
monthly bond purchases by $10 billion to $55 billion and signaled interest rates will be
raised. Fed will end its bond-buying program before the end of the year. US existing
home sales fell to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 4.60 mln in February. Nifty is
expected to be range bound and will move within the spread of 6700 to 6250 level.
Indian indices logged small declines on mixed global sentiment. Nifty and Sensex hit
record highs during week, bolstered by continued buying from foreign investors. Profit -
taking seen after a strong rally. US Federal Reserve further reduced monetary stimulus
for the US economy and signaled US interest rates will be raised. Market may remain
volatile this week as traders roll over positions in the futures & options segment. Nifty
declined by 11 points, closed at 6493. Sensex shed by 56 points, closed at 21753.
World markets traded mixed during the week on the back of mixed global data. Europe
stocks traded mixed with CAC jumped by 1.48%, DAX garnered by 1.77% and FTSE
down by 0.17%. US markets ended mixed with DJIA declined by 0.15%, NASDAQ
down by 0.07% and S&P 500 ended up by 0.41%. Asian indices traded lower; Nikkei
declined by 1.72%, Straits Times went down by 0.62% and Hang Seng ended lower by
0.70%. Seol went down by 0.50% and Jakarta closed down 2.57%.
