Founded 2005
Currently one of 3 NIH
research centers in the

Mandate covers 4 provinces
in central Mozambique
(Manica, Sofala, Tete,
Zambeiza)

CIOB is a trainer for MOH
managers at the provincial and
district levels
CIOB is our lead implementation
science partner for USAID and
Doris Duke Charitable Foundation-
funded projects
CIOB and HAI research staff serve
as co-PIs on projects, including 4
current studies
CIOB as a sub-recipient on HAI
awards, including 3 current
projects
