6. • When to Visit
Penguin Island is open daily from mid September
through to the Foundation Day long weekend in
June. It is closed over the winter months to
ensure the penguins are not disturbed during
their nesting time.
7. You can ride the ferry to go straight to penguin island or have a tour
around Shoalwater bay. A short ride to penguin island and on the way
you may see lots of penguins or sea lions even some dolphins.
