2. Final Cut express
• The step up from Imovie to Final cut at first was very difficult to get used to at first,
yet with the help of the teachers and youtube tutorials I quickly grasped how to
effectively cut and edit. Using Final cut has taught me that although it may take a
little more time to get used to the end product looks better as the Final cut has a
wider range of features which can be used to change the way the footage looks.
For example in Imovie the most advanced thing that we were able to do was enter
different transitions, however with Final cut we could change colour scales, crop
things out and use mirror effects to make more than one of the same person
appear on the screen at the same time.
• I have learnt a great deal during this production by using final cut I can now
effectively cut, edit, place transitions and special effects which would have come
with great difficulty to me before or if I had used different software such as Imovie.
• Although I prefer Imovie to Final cut on terms of simplicity to use, I also
understand that Final cut is the better option when it comes down to the end
product.

3. Camera equipment
• Although we have used the camera equipment before from school during the
preliminary tasks and our AS project, I felt that I have learnt a lot about filming and
ways to shoot through the process of this project. I feel that everyone has
developed an eye for a good shot during this project, this has come with practise
and a high amount of time spent with the camera equipment and knowing how
they function.
Prezie and Slideshare
• Although before the beginning of this year I hadn't previously heard of these two
technologies, I have found that they have become of great use to easily share and
upload files in new and interactive ways. Prezie is a flow diagram like programme
which at first was very difficult to understand and use, however following the
directions and through a lot of time spent using it I have effectively managed to
create many files which have helped me to develop my final product
