At the same time, annual revenues have increased on average 36.3 percent each year, with a giant leap of 52.4 percent from 2013 to 2014.

Centene keeps climbing the ladder
• St. Louis-based healthcare insurance provider Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) has
climbed from number 685 on Forbes Fortune 1000 list in 2008, to number 186 in 2015. At the
same time, annual revenues have increased on average 36.3 percent each year, with a giant
leap of 52.4 percent from 2013 to 2014. In 2009, Centene had a presence in nine states, and
in 2015 that number has more than doubled 21.
• As Centene continues to grow, so does its footprint in St. Louis. The company leased over
100,000 square feet in West County last year. Further expansion may include another building
in Clayton where Centene acquired property adjacent to its current headquarters on Forsyth.
