About A Leg Up Rescue
This organization is dedicated to saving dogs and cats either in danger of being euthanized by
animal shelters or those that are neglected or abused, or taken from the public so they are not
bounced around to different homes or collected and sold to research labs.
A Leg Up Rescue works statewide and is proud to rescue animals from the most northern part
of California to the Mexico border. But it is in dire need of money to help with veterinary
medicine and food expenses. Last year’s Pups N Pinot event raised $17,000. The group hopes
to achieve their goal of $25,000 at this Sunday’s fundraiser.
The 2nd Annual Pups N Pinot Fundraiser supports A Leg Up Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit
organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from life-threatening situations. A Leg Up
Rescue does not have a shelter or kennel. It places pets in compassionate foster homes so they
may begin to develop exceptional house behavior in advance of their “forever” homes.
When A Leg Up Rescue receives an animal, it provides all the healthcare needed including spay
or neuter procedures, vaccinations, flea/tick treatment, heartworm medication & their microchip.
If any additional medical issues need to be addressed, those procedures are performed as well.
