India Q4 Outward investments summary
 Total investment projects recorded: 48
 The Asia Pacific region dominated in attracting investments from India by recording a 29% share
of all investments from India in Q4 2013. The retail segment dominated the investment flows with
4 projects and Sales, support and marketing & Contact Centres with 3 projects each
 North America, traditionally a services based investment destination for Indian companies
attracted 4 manufacturing projects and for the period secured 19% of all Indian investment in Q4
2013
 Business services with a share of 23% emerged as the most active sector for Outward
investments from India in Q4 2013
 India’s commercial capital Mumbai emerged as the leading source city for outward investments
with a share of 40% followed by Bangalore with 17%
 Manufacturing as a business activity however, was the clear leader with 29% of all recorded
investment projects in Q4 2013.

Europe with 2 projects
 Automotive OEM: Evenly spread out with 1 investment project each across North America, UK,

 Consumer products: Africa attracted 2 projects followed by a project each in Asia pacific and the
Middle East.

Financial services: Asia Pacific with 2 projects led the sector in the quarter which also saw single
