7. Coloring Club
7th and 8th: Limbaugh
6th: Nesteruk
Did you know that coloring can lead to better academics and
better health?
All you will need for this club is colored pencils, crayons, or
gel pens.
Coloring requires attention to detail which allows your brain to temporarily let go of things going on in your
life that might be dragging you down. Coloring also helps you relax which can lead to: lowered blood
pressure, reduced anxiety, and headache relief. Coloring can help you get focused for an upcoming
assignment or test.
8. Active Squad
8th grade only. Wanna play dodgeball, basketball, and/or capture the flag? This is
the squad for you!
Must wear tennis shoes to participate!
9. #Practice Makes Perfect
For band students who want that little extra practice time. Will work on small
ensembles, solos, and fun music.
10. Silent Ball
Silent Ball is a game in which a ball is thrown from player to
player while everyone remains silent.
6th Grade ONLY
The game was created to enhance nonverbal communications, stimulate
interpersonal relationships, and stems from experiments by Philip G. Zimbardo.
11. Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact team sport played by thousands all
over the world. Only sign up if you enjoy outside and running!

14. MATHCOUNTS
Mathcounts Club helps prepare for the Mathcounts competition in
December. Students work on challenging math questions in groups.

Club KenKen!
What is KENKEN and where did it come from? Simply put, it’s a grid-based
numerical puzzle that uses the basic math operations—addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division—while also challenging your logic and problem-solving
skills. By altering the size of a KENKEN grid, from 3 x 3 up to 9 x 9, and employing
different combinations of the math operations, five different difficulty levels can be
generated, and a seemingly endless number of puzzles. (And many players seem
determined to try them all!) In a way, KENKEN is like a game of pool or even chess:
The more you think ahead to your next move and consider all the possible
outcomes, the better you’ll get—and the smarter you’ll become!

16. Chess Club
Interested in participating in a two player game of strategy? Then the chess
club is the right place for you!

• Do you love Minecraft? You and your team will use Minecraft to build a city. You will learn about different aspects of urban development,
including transportation, infrastructure, emergency services and parks. You will work in groups to pick your own theme; your team may
even choose to replicate the town of Fort Mill!!!!
19. ZEN CLUB
Do you ever feel stressed before a big test or important game? Do you ever feel overwhelmed with school,
family, and friends? Are you interested in learning more about the history of other cultures and their ways
of dealing with stress? Then, Zen Club is for you! We will practice mindfulness, meditation, and even learn
some calming yoga poses. We will learn techniques for managing stress and centering ourselves during
important moments in our lives. If you’re searching for a calm and serene moment during your week, then
join Zen Club!
20. Sudoku
We are group of people who interested in doing Sudoku. Sudoku is a game of challenging
puzzles that can possibly leave some gamers feeling frustrated. You've been warned, but if
you are interested and up for the challenge, welcome to family! Some of the benefits of
solving Sudoku are (a) It is a great exercise for the brain. (b) It teaches great patience (c) It
is great stress reliever (d) It helps relieve loneliness, and more!

If you know a lot of random facts, have always wanted to be on a game show, or
just love a good competition, Trivia Club is for you! You will compete individually
or in teams to answer questions about anything from math, to science, to
literature, to history, to sports, to pop culture, and everything in between. This will
be run similarly to Academic Challenge, so if you think you're interested in trying
out for the school's Academic Challenge team in December, you might want to try
this club!
24. LOGIC PUZZLES
Do you like to solve brain teasers and puzzles? If so, this club is for you.
We will solve different types of logic puzzles like Sudoku, Anagrams,
Logic Grids, riddles, etc.
25. JUST DANCE
This club will dance to songs on the Smart TV!
Students will also create and teach their own routines!
27. GIRLS CLUB
Come join us for discussions and activities involving self-esteem, healthy decision
making, and healthy relationships!
28. FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS
· Make friendship bracelets for yourself or others!
· Learn new techniques and experiment with different materials
· No experience necessary!
29. BUSY BEE COMMUNITY CRAFTS
If you like to make crafts and would like to help the community, then Busy Bee
Community Crafters is for you. This club will make crafts which we will give to
community groups and organizations to brighten the day of those who receive the
crafts. In doing so our Yellow Jackets are embracing the core value of helping
others not only at school but in the community.
30. DESIGNERS and DECORATORS
Students will help to design and decorate for school events, as well as help to
beautify the school. They will make posters, decorate bulletin boards, paint, and
create décor for holidays, etc. This will require that students enjoy art, have some
level of skill when drawing and writing, and a steady hand.
31. BATTLE of the BOOKS
Do you like reading?
Do you like trivia and quiz shows?
Combine those two by joining the Battle of the Books Club!
· Meet During Club time on Fridays
· Teams of 4-6 compete to answer trivia questions about 10 SCJBA books
· Compete against other Fort Mill and York County Schools.
32. DRAWING CLUB
Calling all artists! If you love to draw, come join the Drawing
Club as we get creative using a variety of materials including
graphite, charcoal, pastels and more! You are welcome to
bring your own materials too!
33. THE BIRTHDAY CLUB
The Birthday Club will help make sure everyone's birthdays are celebrated! We
want to make sure every student feels special on their birthday while at FMMS.
Club students will help to create and give out birthday cards and other birthday
goodies for students so that way they feel recognized on their big day!
34. BLANKET BLESSINGS
We will make fleece blankets for animal shelters,
homeless shelters, and other community
organizations in need.
35. MYTH BUSTERS
Myth Busters club is a time to watch
common myths being tested using the
scientific method. We will discuss the
process with each myth that we watch.

If you love to read join us for some quiet time where we can
read our favorite books!!

recruitment, stats, and pre-season predictions

38. JEWELRY MAKING
You will be able to design a unique piece of jewelry. Your uniqueness will be expressed as necklaces, bracelets, and
earrings. These pieces will be made by using simple jewelry making techniques. As a bonus, these handmade
pieces can be given as gifts. Express your uniqueness through jewelry.
