Barcelona, 24th January 2013 – Akamon Entertainment, the leading social gaming company
specialising in traditional games in southern Europe and Latin America, has recruited seven new
professionals to strengthen its development, analytics and mobile departments. These additions
will permit Akamon to launch its first games for mobile devices at the end of the first quarter of
2013.
Development and Mobile are the areas to have been most reinforced with the recruitment of
Emiliano Córdoba as Mobile Project Manager, Pedro Torres as Mobile programmer and Sergio
García and Xavier Heras as Designer and Developer respectively for Bingo – all based in
Barcelona. In the Valencia office, José Navarro joins the Traditional games team as Traditional
Game Artist and Victor Manuel Boliches is Flash games designer.
Marketing is also strengthened with Phil Delude being taken on as Head of RAI (Revenue,
Analytics and Information). Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Delude “will be responsible
for consolidating Akamon’s commitment to strict data analysis forming the basis for marketing
campaigns, and to ensure that Akamon is a data-driven company” explains Vicenç Martí, CEO at
Akamon.
Akamon plans to recruit up to 25 professionals during the course of 2013. The majority of these
will join the company in the first quarter to respond specifically to the company’s main
challenge of developing and marketing its first games for mobile devices. Akamon forecasts the
launch of its first game for tablets and mobiles in the first quarter of 2013.
Alaitz Blanquer, new HR Manager at Akamon, highlights the fact that “the company has been
