28 BIEMH INTERNATIONAL MACHINE-TOOL EXHIBITION. 2-7 June,2014. BIG MACHINES: BIG BUSINESS
1. INTERNATIONAL
MACHINE-TOOL EXHIBITION
Although the machine-tool industry is going through hard times, the outcome of the 27th BIEMH was undoubtedly positive.
Over 34,000 trade visitors from 56 countries attended the event, at which innovation was the main theme.
An increase in the number of foreign trade visitors, the presence of purchasers from strategic markets, the overall standard of the exhibition, the
coming together of different interests and the institutional support received once again made the BIEMH into a strong point for the industry and a
powerful tool for promoting business opportunities.

EXHIBITORS,
TAKE CENTRE STAGE
The exhibitors will be taking centre stage at this edition of the event.
The event is organised by and for them, bearing in mind their track
record, their involvement and their commitment to machine-tools, but
above all their needs and interests.
To that end the 2014 BIEMH has designed a number of actions to help
companies promote themselves on the international market, including
business networking forums under the name BIEMH PREVIEW.
27th BIEMH A GREAT SUCCESS
The organisers set to work as soon as BIEMH 2014 was announced: the idea was to
arrange continual activities and encourage synergies between exhibitors and
visitors/purchasers rather than merely waiting until the event itself. To that end, forums and
meetings prior to the BIEMH have been arranged under the name
BIEMH PREVIEW, PRESENTATION & NETWORKING.
These presentations and meetings have been set up by the organisers of the main event
itself, and are aimed at both the international and domestic markets:
INTERNATIONAL MARKET:
Between November and March a number of meetings and business-oriented interviews will
take place between exhibitors and potential purchasers from the countries in which each
exhibitor is most interested but does not yet have a specific sales and promotion platform.
These meetings are arranged in advance by BIEMH 2014.
DOMESTIC MARKET:
There will be presentations in Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza and Seville with a view to
stirring up interest in the domestic market and providing meeting points between
manufacturers, distributors and users of machine-tools.
Full communication facilities at the service of exhibitors
Along with the promotional and advertising methods usually applied to promote the event,
exhibitors will also have other means of communication available to them which should
prove particularly useful in facilitating contact with their customers.
There will be advertising space in the exhibition halls, digital advertising, corporate image
promotion and presentations of innovations, among other specific actions:
· A news forum for exhibitors: an ongoing, open forum for the domestic and international
promotion of news generated by companies.
· Promotion to the customer base and to visitors of interest to each exhibitor broken down
by sectors of activity and countries of origin.
· Exhibitors will be given access to the trade journalists and media organisations invited to
the event.
