I am delighted to see that today we have a real cross-section of new staff from all of the corners of the University and it my pleasure to help ‘induct’ you into Durham and outline the things that we all working towards and striving to achieve.
Firstly, I thought it would be useful to say a little about who I am and what I do. I have been at Durham since 2005 years and since joining the University I have had a variety of roles. (1.) Academic Background Research specialism. Recent fieldwork in Napal etc. (2.) Management Role Head of Department Faculty PVC for social sciences and health. Member of the UEC etc. Joke about links between studying Archaeology and being a senior University officer.
