What is the difference
between Angular and
AngularJS?
Angular and AngularJS are the most popular front-end web development frameworks among the
other JavaScript frameworks.
Let us examine the approaches of both frameworks first before moving forward to the difference
between the two.
AngularJS is more in trend these days as it is widely used to structure unique and amazing single
page web applications.
Angular JS is a structural platform that essentially expands the HTML DOM with additional
features and aids in the formation of a responsive application to the actions of the users.
Angular versions, on the other hand, are highly preferred as a robust front-end tool that provides
components that help a developer write and rewrite easy, simple, maintainable, and readable code.
What is AngularJS?
Released in 2010 by Google, AngularJS is an open-source JavaScript front-end framework that is
primarily used to create single-page web applications (SPAs). It is a framework that is constantly
growing and expanding to provide better methods for developing web applications. Angularjs
development services transforms static HTML into dynamic HTML. Its features such as dynamic
binding and dependency injection eliminate the need for code that we would otherwise have to
write. AngularJS is rapidly evolving, and as a result, we now have multiple versions of AngularJS.
It's also worth noting that
Angular is not the same as AngularJS. It is a free and open-source project that anyone can use and
modify. It uses Directives to extend HTML attributes and HTML to bind data.
Features of AngularJS
● Easy to learn
● Two-way binding feature
● Supports SPA features
● Declarative UI
● Supported by Google
● Real-time testing
● Dependency injection
● Cross-platform
What is Angular?
Released by Google in 2016, Angular is an open-source Typescript web application framework.
Front-end developers use frameworks such as Angular or React to efficiently present and
manipulate data.
The updated version of Angular is much more efficient than the older version, especially since the
core functionality has been moved to different modules. That is why it is so much faster and
smoother than the previous one. Required packages can be installed to facilitate the creation and
make the complex-structured code into a modular form that is easy to manage using the newly
added angular CLI.
Features of Angular
● Supported by Google
● TypeScript
● Declarative UI
● POJO (Plain Old JavaScript Object)
● PWA and SPA
● Simplified MVC Pattern
● Modular Structure
● Code consistency
● Easy Testing
From the above-mentioned comparison, we can see that AngularJS is a scalable
framework that is used to develop robust and secure web applications with
minimum time and effort.
On the other hand, Angular has some prime benefits for front-end developers.
This is why many tech giants use Angular for their projects.
Thank you!
