Frantz Fanon, in his work, “The

Wretched of the Earth” discuses the
psychiatric and psychological analysis
of

the

dehumanizing

effects

of

colonization upon the individual man

and woman, and the nation.
•

He suggests that, we have lost our
minds and are not in control, but
concludes

with

these

words, “Come, then, comrades; it

would be as well to decide at once to
change our ways. We must shake off
the heavy darkness in which we were
plunged, and leave it behind. The
new day which is already at hand
must find us firm, prudent and
resolute.”
638 BC – 558 BC
Let us go to Salamis to fight for the island
We desire, and drive away our bitter shame!-Solon

As individuals and a collectively whole, let’s to the
cause, with our hands fight the wretch and with our
own sweat build solace, for if it is to be, it must
definitely be up to us!!!
