Conceiving a boy requires timing intercourse close to ovulation. Sperm carrying the Y chromosome that determines male sex move slower than X chromosome sperm, so aiming intercourse a few days before ovulation may result in more Y sperm reaching the egg. Diet and position during intercourse don't reliably influence the baby's sex, but an alkaline vaginal environment may give Y sperm a slight advantage in traveling to meet the egg.
