1. ASA REGULATIONS
Asa is the uk’s independent regulator
for advertising media. There work
includes acting on complaints and
checking the media to take action
against harmful and offensive
advertisement, sales promotions and
direct marketing. We also carry out
many other regulations as well as
acting on complaints, to make sure
advertising sticks to the rules. For
example, the ASA check ads in media
and regularly do surveys of
advertisement published by sectors in
there is either unsatisfactory
compliance with the Codes or where
there are societal concerns about that
sector
