• “To help deliver timely tobacco production information to
farmers, research/extension personnel, industry representatives, and others
interested in the tobacco business.”

• Use YouTube hyperlinks. www.youtube.com
• Have a blog for discussion
• Use podcasts
• Use maps

7. YOUTUBE AND PODCASTS
• Instead of specialists travelling, growers can gain knowledge from specialist
through video or podcast of FAQ’s and other information.
• This will eliminate wait and travel time.

8. BLOG
• This will allow the specialists and growers to have round table discussions
where everyone can discuss problems and techniques quickly and at any
time.

9. MAPS
• Using maps will help growers know what diseases are located in their area as
well as other factors such as rainfall and watershed.

10. IMPLEMENTATION
• I work with the editor of the website, so changes can be made easily.
• Many growers are older and do not wish to communicate through new
media.
