5. ► Drain the engine oil.
► Uncouple the engine from the transmission.
► Remove the transport damper.
Transport damper
► Fit the special tool (1) and an 8 mm diameter pin (2).
► Using the special tool and the pin (2), lock the flywheel by aligning the pin (2) with the notch (3) on the
flywheel.
The engine is then immobilised at the top dead centre position of cylinder 1.
► Remove the engine flywheel.

6. ► Remove the camshaft position sensor "B054" (1).
► Remove the crankshaft rear bearing seal (2).

► Undo and remove the bolts (1) from the sump.
► Undo and remove the bolts (1), (2) and (3) from the timing cover.

7. ► Remove the timing cover using a suitable lifting tool.
The timing cover weighs 36 kg.
Fitting
Check the condition of the sump and replace it if necessary.
► Carefully clean and degrease the surface of the cylinder block and the surface of the timing cover.
Respect the technical specifications from the overview.
► Coat the joint face with sealing product as shown (1).

8. ► Fit the timing cover using a suitable lifting tool.
The timing cover weighs 36 kg.
► Fit and tighten the bolts (1) on the sump.

Respect the technical specifications from the overview.
► Fit and tighten the timing cover bolts (1), (2) and (3) to the recommended torque.
► Fit the crankshaft rear bearing seal (2).

9. ► Fit the camshaft position sensor "B054" (1).

► Disconnect the hydraulic hoses (4) and (5).
On a CARRARO front axle:
► Disconnect the connectors (1).

► Chock the tractor under the front chassis and the transmission.
► Undo and remove the bolts (1) and (2).
► Place a lifting table under the sump.
► Undo and remove the bolts (1).

18. ► Undo and remove the bolts (1).
► Remove and mark the adjustment shims (2).
► Remove the sump using the lifting table.
The sump weighs 232 kg.
► Dispose of the sump seal.
Fitting
► Fit a new seal on the sump.
► Fit the sump under the engine using a lifting table.
The sump weighs 232 kg.
Respect the technical specifications from the overview.
► Fit and tighten the bolts (1) and (2) to the recommended torque.

19. ► Secure the engine with the front chassis (1).
Adjusting the engine and the front axle chassis
► Using a drift punch, fit the centring pin (3) in the front chassis.
Respect the technical specifications from the overview.
► Fit and tighten the bolts (1) to the recommended torque.
