3. POČÍTATEĽNÉ PODSTATNÉ MENÁ
sú také PM, ktoré dokážeme spočítať:
 majú v jednotnom čísle členy „a“, „an“:
 a car, an apple, a child
 majú plurál = množné číslo:
 cars, apples, children - nepravidelné
množné číslo, netvorí sa pomocou „s“

4. NEPOČÍTATEĽNÉ PODSTATNÉ MENÁ
sú také PM, ktoré spočítať nedokážeme:
 členy „a“, „an“ a ani množné číslo nemajú:
 water, snow, rice, atď.
 v angličtine môžu byť nepočítateľné aj také podstatné
mená, ktoré sa v slovenčine považujú za počítateľné:
 information, bread, money, hair, atď.

5. SOME vs. ANY
S nepočítateľnými podstatnými menami
(money, rice)
a
s počítateľnými podstatnými menami v množnom
čísle
(apples, children)
môžeme používať zámená
„SOME“ a „ANY“.

6. SOME
 používame v oznamovacích vetách:
 There is some bread on the table.
 There are some orranges on the table.

7. SOME
 používame v otázkach, a to:
 keď o niečo žiadame:
Can I have some coffee, please?
 keď niekomu niečo ponúkame:
Would you like some apples?

8. ANY
 používame v otázkach
(v prípade, že nič nežiadame/nič neponúkame):
 Is there any water?
 Does she have any children?

9. ANY
 používame v záporných vetách :
 I can’t see any rice.
 There aren’t any people.
