Breaking Bad Habits - Stop Crashing on the
Settee After Dinner
I believe that bad choices and bad habits are what
brought me to this point-day after day and year after
year-until I hit rock bottom. That is often the way it's
and was until July 20th, 1979.
Learning how you can free by myself from self
improvement begins the understanding that
individuals cause our very own feelings. I am the
major reason for my very own problems. The
moment I understand that reality, I am able to step to
the procedure for self-change that will lead to independence from the habits that keep me from
living a far more satisfying life. And when I am clear of my bad habits, individuals around me is
going to be free from anyone I was previously.
Everybody can bring about changes in themselves. But freeing your self from a habit like
smoking or as in my situation, drinking, takes a strong, long-lasting change. A bad habit is like
an iceberg. You can not beat the habit if you approach it as if it were only as large as what you
can see on the surface.
Franz Kafka said, 'a book should be the guitar with the frozen sea within us.' Any book or
program that aims to help people break bad habits must reveal the whole iceberg that lies below
the surface.
You can not eliminate the whole thing in one day, but if you take a detailed method, you can
eliminate the bad habit before you thought possible. It is likely to just take work in your part.
I had to go hard way then and despite 29 years of being sober now, I still there and then have the
feeling of being stuck. No step forward since 30 years? No, not at all but with my wrong attitude
towards my inner-self, being the king of the world, which I´m not I always have to think with that
ridiculous and wrong behavior.Being an addict way to be such a whole life long and the only real
chance I have to put that in to my mind and mind as a sheer and unbeatable fact.
You can not drink or eat whatever you desire and keep sober or loose weight, regardless of how
many times you hear it on the talk shows. But you can reduce fat, and you can learn to enjoy
healthier foods significantly more than the harmful foods you are eating now. And the exact
same that is good for alcoholic drinks. You can't drink alcohol but you can drink all the other
sweet and sweetened drinks without alcohol, do not you?
More information would be found on this website.
Being drunk and dependent on alcohol was a constructed a
verbal crate for myself. My description of the situation
seemed to give no choice; to me I avoided having to take
responsibility for myself. To have the benefits that come
with medical awareness, hot showers, clean clothes, a bed,
daily meals, companionship, and just as much aid like a
social worker may give me,the ticket to freedom. I'd to
break out of the cage.
