Volunteers Needed in PICO RIVERA!
The City of Pico Rivera (Team Pico Rivera), in cooperation with Whittier First Day, Los
Angeles Homeless Services Authority and the100,000 Homes National Campaign, is
looking for volunteers and sponsors to take part in the 2013 Greater Los Angeles Homeless
Count and Count-Plus Homeless Registry. Volunteers will conduct the Homeless Count
and Registry over a three-night period within Pico Rivera. Sponsors are needed to donate
materials and items necessary to conduct the count and registry. Suggested sponsor
materials are listed on the back of this flyer. The Homeless Count and Registry looks to
collect data in order to understand the homeless situation, bring resources to the
community, and drive engagement.




 Team Pico Rivera’s Three-Night Homeless Count and Registry
 WHEN?                 th               st
        TUESDAY, JANUARY 29 - 8pm to 2am. On the 1 night volunteers will conduct the
        Homeless Count, a visual count of the homeless within Pico Rivera. Volunteers usually
        complete their assigned areas by midnight.
        WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, JANUARY 30th & 31st - 8pm to 2am. On the 2nd and
        3rd night volunteers will conduct the Homeless Registry, surveying the homeless within
        Pico Rivera to gauge their homeless status as possibly chronic or vulnerable.


                       Pico Rivera volunteers will meet in the Community Room in the
       WHERE? Parks & Recreation Building located at 6767 Passons Boulevard, on
                       each of the three nights of the Homeless Count & Registry.
                       Volunteers will be provided with all necessary training materials.
