The article is entitled "Nevis introduces new asset protection trust for tenancy by the entireties property". (Wow! that's a mouthful). The article addresses recent amendments to Nevis International Exempt Trust Ordinance, 1994, as amended (the ""NIETO") which establishes the concept of a statutory tenancy-by-the-entireties trust ("STET"). Tenancy-by-the-entireties is a form of ownership which exists between married couples and is recognized in several American states. A STET under NIETO protects property from creditors if such property has been contributed to the trust by a spouse.
