1. Kitting process in which individually separate but related, packaged, and supplied together as one unit. The supplier then creates a customised kit that is assembled and shipped as one unit. 2. Is the gathering of components and parts needed for the manufacture of a particular assembly or product. Individual components are gathered together, as a kit, issued to the point of use. 3. The term "Kitting" is order fulfilment jargon for preassembly of individual items into ready-to-ship kits instead of picking and packing those individual items as orders are received.
