Pharmaceutical Federation.
 The theme aims to highlight the key role
that pharmacists play in protecting
patient safety through improved
medicine use and reduced medication
errors.
 Pharmacists use their broad knowledge
and unique expertise to ensure that
people get the best from their medicines.

reaches the Right Patient at the Right Time by
the Right Route is the minimum standard by
which a pharmacist reviews every medication
order for Every Patient.

Medication includes over-the-counter drugs as
well as prescription drugs.

then OTC drugs.
 Are prescribed to treat a
specific medical problem.
 Required prescription from
RMP.

10.  None schedule H drugs are OTC medicines.
 All Schedule H and H1 drugs are prescription
drugs.
 Why schedule H1 introduced?
 The schedule H1 drugs were mainly allocated to restrict the
selling of antibiotics through over the counter (OTC) sales,
after it was noted that any number of these drugs could be
bought from pharmacies across India without any limitations.

11.  Today more than ever pharmacists are
charged with the responsibility to ensure that
when a patient use a medicine it will not cost
harm.
 Patient and medicines should be safe
 Patient should take effective medicines.
 Pharmacists should give safe and effective
medicines.
