I received a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1990, and an EdM in Counseling and Consulting Psychology from Harvard School of Education in 1980. I studied at the Universität Freiburg, and was awarded an MA from the University of California, Berkeley in Germanic Languages and Literature. I teach/ have taught, these courses all at the doctoral level: 1) History of Psychology using critical, social and discourse psychology methods; 2) a required Qualitative Research course; 3) Social Justice in Clinical Psychology; 4) Dialogue and Difference, an application of hermeneutic philosophy; and 5) Methods of Psychological Assessment.
