If you are fortunate to have met Olive Tharp, then you are blessed, for you met an angel.
In her lifespan of many years, she sought out those who were alone and lost. With her words of wisdom, in a
kind and loving way, she inspired many.
She would give you a hug just when you needed it the most.
When the world seemed dark and sad, it was Olive who would bring linght and shine it into your heart. She
took the time to tell you all about the person you could become. She was both teacher and mother to
countless children; many a child found a dream to live for because of her gentle way of instilling the joy of life-
long learning.
Many were rescued from life’s storms as she offered her heart as a haven.
Her home was her castle, filled with fine treasures and books galore. A sparkle of love was evident in every
corner.
Her welcoming smile could lift your spirit. She knew just how to welcome a weary traveler. Her door was
always open, and so was her heart . . .
