This project is locating in
Zhengzhou City, Henan Province
which plays an important role in
China’s history.
This is how the design comes
from. The Yellow River has been
narrowed and diverted over years.
The left traces represent different
time. Time plus space is four
dimensions which is the essence
of architecture.
Zhengzhou is the center of China’s
transportation hub. The railway
has a decisive influence on a city’s
texture development and the
downtown developing around
the railway station has a special
texture.
According to the Yellow River’s
influences to Zhengzhou and its
own attributes, it is planned to
choose a section of it and apply
the genetic principles to the base
of the building.
The Yellow River has raised the
Chinese nation. At the early stage
of design, we have considered the
Yellow River’s influences to this
ancient province.
The Yellow River has been diverted
and cutoff constantly over years.
With these changes, people begin
to farm by the river banks. The
trace of the Yellow River is left on
the newly cultivated farmland,
leaving a shocking picture.

The reconstructed nursing home can
reach the standards of five star resort
hotel with the spa resort features of
‘mountain’ and ‘hot spring’ in the
north. The reconstructed nursing home
makes full use of the existing green
building concept and technology,
to coordinate with the beautiful
ecological environment in Yanqing
County.

The design idea is derived from
the Chinese concept of ‘Crave
the jade to a vessel’, implying to
spot talents, getting the integrity
of compact appearance and
plain connotation by expanding
the cutting technique of form
and structure to the functional
‘knowing and utilizing talented
people’.
Th is p ro ject is lo cated in
Zhengzhou airport area, which
has developed around Xinzheng
International Airport, in the
southeast of Zhengzhou, and
20 kilometers away from the
urban area. With a large area
undeveloped, it needs a mature
comprehensive community to
guide it. Build the building group
space and the city skyline by
organizing native landscape to
show the city’s organic growth in
the future.

The service center consists of three parts,
including ‘social comprehensive service
center’, ‘human resources industrial park’
and ‘living support facilities’, combing the
local characteristics and fully considering the
operability of the project to meet people’s
demands of the human resource social security
services and satisfy psychological demands of
high quality environment to people who are
living and working here.

Sunshine’s historical warehouse district exhibits
Melbourne’s momentous cultural legacy. This ‘Suburb
of warehouses’ was a hotbed for cultural integration.
As the population grows, there are wider shifts
in demographics in region west of Melbourne, it
continues to be a large percentage of migrant growth,
especially for those economically disadvantaged often
thrust into a new environment and where they have
limited 'mobility'. Such as language barriers, many
of their skills may no longer be applicable. There
is limited scope to communicate, to integrate, to
develop skills. Such of these 'barriers of entry' make
Sunshine still lacks of vitality.
This project exploits Textile as metaphors to
resurrect Sunshine’s bygone era, promulgate global
multiculturalism, and demonstrate Sunshine’s trading
and cultural lineage. The properties of Textile are
infused to provide a cultural narrative and to provoke
a sensory experience. The austere warehouses are
perceived as a dead ‘solid’ block and textiles are
weaved throughout the site as ‘void’ to reignite the
spirit of Sunshine.

The original concept of the masterplan is design the
fishermans bend as an area good for life and work,
efficiency and has close relationship with central city.
Develop the transport system, creat a tram loop
continues from Collins street into this area and cycle
back to city, make more green cover this area to call
back the nature system which has been lost on this
land.

  • 8. This project is locating in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province which plays an important role in China’s history. This is how the design comes from. The Yellow River has been narrowed and diverted over years. The left traces represent different time. Time plus space is four dimensions which is the essence of architecture. Zhengzhou is the center of China’s transportation hub. The railway has a decisive influence on a city’s texture development and the downtown developing around the railway station has a special texture. According to the Yellow River’s influences to Zhengzhou and its own attributes, it is planned to choose a section of it and apply the genetic principles to the base of the building. The Yellow River has raised the Chinese nation. At the early stage of design, we have considered the Yellow River’s influences to this ancient province. The Yellow River has been diverted and cutoff constantly over years. With these changes, people begin to farm by the river banks. The trace of the Yellow River is left on the newly cultivated farmland, leaving a shocking picture. Th is p ro ject is lo cated in Zhengzhou airport area, which has developed around Xinzheng International Airport, in the southeast of Zhengzhou, and 20 kilometers away from the urban area. With a large area undeveloped, it needs a mature comprehensive community to guide it. Build the building group space and the city skyline by organizing native landscape to show the city’s organic growth in the future.

  • 20. Sunshine’s historical warehouse district exhibits Melbourne’s momentous cultural legacy. This ‘Suburb of warehouses’ was a hotbed for cultural integration. As the population grows, there are wider shifts in demographics in region west of Melbourne, it continues to be a large percentage of migrant growth, especially for those economically disadvantaged often thrust into a new environment and where they have limited 'mobility'. Such as language barriers, many of their skills may no longer be applicable. There is limited scope to communicate, to integrate, to develop skills. Such of these 'barriers of entry' make Sunshine still lacks of vitality. This project exploits Textile as metaphors to resurrect Sunshine’s bygone era, promulgate global multiculturalism, and demonstrate Sunshine’s trading and cultural lineage. The properties of Textile are infused to provide a cultural narrative and to provoke a sensory experience. The austere warehouses are perceived as a dead ‘solid’ block and textiles are weaved throughout the site as ‘void’ to reignite the spirit of Sunshine.
