Have you been a VICTIM of a violent crime?

If you were, could you have modified your behavior to
lessen the possibility of becoming a VICTIM?

Do you know who is ultimately responsible for your own
           Personal Safety and Security?

The majority of all crimes occur because we fail to take
steps to protect ourselves and our property.

We make ourselves vulnerable and susceptible to
                 criminal activity.

Your Personal Survival will depend on learning and
applying the basic Olivares Personal Assessment
Survival System (OPASS) concepts described in this
                     presentation.

Basic Personal Protection Techniques

 Disengage a Conversation.
 Keep your Distance.
 Protect your Personal Space.
 Memorize physical description.
 Draw attention to yourself if necessary.
 Call for Assistance.

The average person engaged in normal, everyday
activities will not be aware that he / she is being
Targeted by criminals.

Every person is responsible for his / her own Personal
Safety and Security.

You should try to eliminate or avoid activities that
expose you to Risks and Threats.

An Assessment allows a person to determine which Risks
and Threats cannot be avoided and to make plans to
counter them by limiting exposure or reducing
                        liability.

The Olivares Personal Assessment Survival System
(OPASS) can be used for personal or business purposes.

OPASS incorporates the concepts of the SAAM
Methodology to improve a person’s safety and survival.

Before using SAAM, conduct Research on targeted location
or individual.
