Lazy Jack is a lazy boy who takes a series of odd jobs, getting paid with different items each day like milk, cheese, a cat, and finally a donkey. While carrying the donkey on his back, Jack makes the sad Princess laugh for the first time. Impressed, the King and Queen decide Jack and the Princess should get married.

Next day, he goes to work in a sausage factory. The man pays with a cat.
The following day he goes to work in a backery. They give him a cake.
Then he goes to work in a stable. And the owner pay him with a donkey.
Jack makes the sad princess laugh.
Finally they get married.
