Learning Goals and Objectives
⦿ Goals:
• To understand the criminal
justice system better.
⦿ Objectives
• Learn about how the
interactions between
different divisions in the
county system work.
• Learn more about how a
County Sheriff's Office
works.
• Learn about what goes along
with court security.
• Learn more about how a
county jail is run.
What I learned
⦿ A deeper understanding the criminal justice system
through observations in the courthouse, jail, and 9-1-1
center.
⦿ The requirements of each job in terms of what needs
to be done to get the job, what to do within each job,
the connections each job has with eachother.
Take-Aways
⦿ This helped me make a more solid decision for my
future.
⦿ The courthouse was the most interesting.
• I enjoyed learning about the court process.
⚫Checking in, presenting the case, keeping control in the courtroom,
starting and ending court, watching the cases etc.
Conclusion
⦿I learned a lot of valuable information and it has
helped me to narrow down the focus of the job I
want in the future.
