Gunner Vincent S. Pope is retiring after 30 years of honorable service in the Marine Corps. A retirement ceremony was held on November 10, 2016 at Weapons Training Battalion in Quantico, Virginia to honor his career and accomplishments. Colonel P.C. Farnum, the Commanding Officer of Weapons Training Battalion, presided over the ceremony which included the presentation of awards to Gunner Pope, remarks by both Colonel Farnum and Gunner Pope, and the playing of Marines' Hymn. Gunner Pope served in many roles over his 30 year career including as a Scout Sniper, instructor, range officer, and most recently as the Director of Marine Corps Marksmanship Programs at Weapons Training Battalion.
